As we are sure you know, Bing’s share of the US search market increased by 50% from June 2009-June 2010 according to Nielsen. Microsoft’s Bing/Windows Live grew from 8.9% to 13.4% of all searches year over year. (June 09 to June 10).
Now even with that large increase in search SOV, Google maintains their number one position. The search juggernaut had an impressive 65% market share in June 2010 (down only 1.7% from June 2009) with Yahoo maintaining the second position with 13.7% SOV (down 15.8% from June 2009).
As competition in the search field continues, we should all look forward in advancements in new product offerings as the companies fight for our mindshare.
