Andrew (or “Andy” as most people call him) has been delivering award-winning results in advertising, direct response, and design for more than 20 years. As a Creative Director in the Bay Area, he has worked as the creative lead with some of the biggest tech and consumer brands around, including Google, Microsoft, Visa, Nestle, Sony and more. Since the beginning of his career, he has worked in integrated agencies of every size, including McCann Worldgroup, Epsilon and more. His focus throughout his career has been on delivering work that solves the business problems of his clients AND doing it in a way that creates real connections between customers and brands.
At his core, Andy is still a mid-western boy from Ohio. He has been committed to design and advertising as a career since visiting a graphic design studio in Dayton with his father when he was 12 and still loves it. He attended Rutger’s University where he received a BFA in Graphic Design and Printmaking. After a brief stint in New York, he came to San Francisco in 1992 and has lived the multi-fold evolution of the advertising and marketing world. Endlessly curious about the intersection of technology, brand building, and customer action, Andy has driven the creation of everything from wildly successful viral projects like msdewey.com for Microsoft to deep CRM engagements with Google for AdWords.
Working at Oōtem since 2010, Andy has helped clients with everything from brand strategy to website development, ad campaigns to identities. Outside of the office, he is an avid fencer (yes with swords) and family man.
